A night of hope, a night of vision, a night of awareness.
This year's 2017 Beacon Of Hope Inaugural Gala is dedicated to helping women of all ages across Nigerian villages with a focus on providing continuous and free access to prenatal care as well as the annual Free Medical Health Mission. The evening will also highlight the works of Beacon of Hope Outreach since its inception in 2008.
During the evening, there will be music by DJ Kash, Yale University's radio host of the Afrobuzz Show. In addition, a silent auction will be held to further raise funds for our programs and campaigns.
Let's come together for a night of fun, but more importantly to help more women raise healthy children.
A dynamic philanthropist who has dedicated his life to helping those in need, Dr. George V. Samson, president and CEO of World Medical Relief, is this year's honorary keynote speaker. Dr. Samson brings awareness to the ills of underdeveloped nations that are in need of assistance. He is a true inspiration and a pioneer in community enrichment.
Bronx Community College President, Thomas A. Isekenegbe, has an outstanding administrative, teaching and leadership record that spans nearly 30 years at both two-year and four-year institutions of higher education. Dr. Isekenegbe has been a leader in developing high-quality academic programs that are data and employment driven. His ability to revive or strengthen educational institutions so that students are successful makes him an innovator to watch and be inspired by.
Representing Bedford Stuyvesant and northern Crown Heights in the New York City Council, Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. has demonstrated his leadership through his many community partnerships, legislative acumen and life-changing initiatives for the past several years. He has passed seven bills into law that touch upon safety protocols and parental rights within real estate, and his dedication to assisting the community in growth has become his signature trademark. He is a trailblazer in politics and a hallmark for leading by virtue and values.
